After joining Torresol Energy in 2009 as project manager for the Gemasolar solar thermoelectric solar plant, in 2012 Ramírez was appointed head of production, to take care of the operational management of 3 of the group’s thermosolar plants after their construction. Since 2015 he has been the general manager, guiding the company’s management towards operational excellence.
He has a degree in mining engineering in the field of fuel and energy, from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, and his career of more than 20 years has always been closely tied to energy, managing and implementing projects in thermal power plants, combined cycle plants and liquefied natural gas re-gasification plants, several of which as part of the SENER Group. In the renewable energies sector, he was also the project manager for biodiesel production plants. In 2018, Diego Ramírez, has completed the General Management Program (PDG) at the IESE Business School.
