Elena Gómez, new Chief Financial Officer of the Torresol Energy Group
Torresol Energy has appointed Elena Gómez Grande as the group’s new Chief Financial Officer. As a result, Elena Gómez will head the Financial Department and be in charge of the general accounting functions, treasury, management control, tax and structured financing for both Torresol Energy and its subsidiaries.
Elena Gómez has extensive experience in the renewable energy sector. Prior to joining Torresol Energy, she was the Financial Director and Head of Accounting at important companies such as Fotosolar and Isofoton. Previously, she worked as an auditor at KPMG, a leading auditing and consulting firm, and giving lectures at the ALITER International Business School.
She holds a degree in Business Administration, double major Audit and Financial Management, from CUNEF University of Madrid (Spain).
Torresol Energy was created in 2008 to promote the technological development, construction, operation and maintenance of large solar thermal plants. It owns the innovative power plants of Gemasolar – a pioneer in the use of tower technology and molten salt storage system – in Fuentes de Andalucía (Seville), and Valle 1 and Valle 2 – with SENERtrough® parabolic through technology – in San José del Valle (Cádiz). Its team of professionals is made up of more than a hundred people and its sales figure in 2018 exceeded €107 million.
